Taylor Odle, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor, University of Wisconsin-Madison
Taylor Odle is an Assistant Professor of Educational Policy Studies and affiliate in Data Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is an expert on issues in the economics of education with a specific focus on college access and success. His research focuses on identifying strategies that “work” at reducing racial and socioeconomic inequality in students’ transitions from high school to college—most commonly done in close partnership with state agencies and non-profit organizations. This includes a focus on college admissions practices, college advising/coaching, and financial aid and student debt. He is particularly interested in how state and federal higher education policy can influence students’ access to and success in college.
Jeremy Wright-Kim, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor, University of Michigan
Jeremy Wright-Kim is an Assistant Professor in the Center for the Study of Higher & Postsecondary Education at the University of Michigan. He utilizes a range of quantitative and qualitative approaches to interrogate issues of equity in postsecondary education, with a particular focus on higher education finance, financial aid, and community colleges; recent projects include stackable credentials, community college baccalaureates, college promise programs, categorical and capital funding, and student debt. Overall, his work examines the tradeoffs and potential impacts of public policy on students’ navigation of higher education, as well as on the institutions that serve them.
